Doctor Details

Dr Andrew McGee is a specialist orthopaedic surgeon who has been practising in Hervey Bay since 2006.  He offers a wider range of orthopaedic services, including:

- Arthroscopic reconstructive surgery of the shoulder and knee
- Joint replacements of the shoulder, hip and knee, having a particular interest in partial knee replacements
- Care of general orthopaedic problems, including hand and feet

Dr McGee qualified in 1993 from Birmingham Medical School UK, underwent higher surgical training in trauma and orthopaedics on the West Midlands programme, and gained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons (England) in 2004. He then undertook a fellowship in Adelaide, South Australia, in Arthroscopic and Reconstructive Hip and Knee Surgery in 2005. Additionally, Dr McGee completed a fellowship in sports medicine of the shoulder and knee in 2006, and became a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2007.
