Dr Richard Osborne MB ChB MD FRCP FRACP
Dr Richard Osborne graduated from Manchester University, UK, and undertook his Medical Oncology training at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London and the National Cancer Institute, USA. During a career including Consultant posts at Addenbrooke's Hospital, Cambridge, and Dorset Cancer Centre, Dr Osborne has been awarded an ICRF Clinical Research Fellowship, NCI-EORTC Research Fellowship and a Fulbright Senior Scholarship.
He is currently engaged in general Medical Oncology practice, managing the entire range of care for all cancer patients who may require specialist assessment and opinion, chemotherapy, hormonal therapy or biological therapy. He has extensive experience with the use of newer immune blockade drugs, as well as a long involvement in optimal treatment of cancer-related symptoms and palliative care.
By establishing a private Medical Oncology practice in Hervey Bay, Richard aims to deliver a world-class solid tumour management service allowing patients to select their preferred location for treatment in modern, expertly-run facilities.
