Graduate Nurses Program UnightingCare Health

UnitingCare Health is one of the largest not-for-profit private hospital groups in Queensland and is a service group of UnitingCare Queensland, along with UnitingCare Community and Blue Care.

The hospital group is a major provider of healthcare services in Queensland which operates almost 1 000 licensed hospital beds and employs over 4 100 people in its four hospitals:


Our Graduate Programs

UnitingCare Health will offer Graduate Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse Programs at the following hospitals: The Wesley Hospital, St. Andrew’s War Memorial Hospital, The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital and St Stephen’s Hospital.

The graduate programs at each of these hospitals will vary slightly in duration, fortnightly hours of work, and rotations offered. Please see table below for more information on Graduate Registered Nurse and Enrolled Nurse Programs for each facility.

Midwifery / Nursing Stream:
This program allows midwives to work across all areas of midwifery, including labour ward, post natal and special care nursery as well as a general nursing rotation.

Critical Care Pathway:
After completing your first 6 month rotation or graduate year, and depending on your area of interest, you will be eligible to apply for a position in one of the following areas:  
After 6 months:
  • Coronary Care
  • Dialysis
After 12 months:
  • PACU (Post Anaesthetic Care Unit)
  • Anaesthetics
  • ICU
  • Emergency
