Bequests

A gift in your Will saves lives

Every single gift, no matter how large or small, is vitally important to St Stephen’s Hospital.

Gifts in Wills provide us with the funds to improve the quality of care and health of our patients. They provide a lasting contribution in advancing our understanding of a wide range of medical conditions and diseases, and help shape the future of medical treatment.

A gift in your Will could help fund and develop vital programs and services, such as:

  • Diagnostic and cardiac services, offering patients from the Fraser Coast region the highest possible level of care.
  • Orthopaedics, reconditioning, neurological, cardiac, musculoskeletal, and falls prevention and management services.
  • Life-saving medical equipment.

Your gift will also ensure peace of mind for patients and their families for generations to come.

How to leave a gift in your Will

A Will is important to ensure your estate is distributed to the people and organisations you care about the most.

After you have provided for your loved ones, you may like to leave a gift in your Will (also known as a bequest) to St Stephen’s Hospital, knowing that you are helping to save lives and improve the care of thousands of patients, keeping families healthier and together, for longer.

Please consider leaving a gift in your Will to St Stephen’s Hospital of:

  • Whole of your Estate
  • Percentage of your Estate
  • Residue of your Estate, or
  • Specific gift of money, shares, property or other investments.

Recommended wording

“I give (specify the type of gift) to The Uniting Church in Australia Property Trust (Q.) represented by UnitingCare Health (ABN: 87 842 457 440”) (“UnitingCare Health”) or any successor of it, to be applied for the purposes of St Stephen’s Hospital. I declare the receipt of an authorised officer of UnitingCare Health will be sufficient discharge of the bequest to my Executor / Trustee.”

Many generous donors leave a gift in their Will to St Stephen’s Hospital that is not tied to a specific hospital program, service or equipment. These types of untied gifts allow us to respond quickly to the most urgent community needs at that time. If you would like to leave a gift to a specific hospital area or program, please contact our Gifts in Wills Manager on 1800 961 551.
